The next meeting of the Technical Committee on Standardization “Precious Metals and Precious Stones” (AZSTAND TK/36) was held at the Consumer Goods Expertise Center (CEC) under the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Supervision under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, a report on the activities of AZSTAND TK/36 for 2025 was presented, and discussions were held on the work done. In addition, proposals for structural changes in the composition of the Technical Committee were considered, and a new member and responsible secretary were elected.

Then, the Committee members exchanged views on the main directions of the Action Plan for the current year and the implementation status of the planned measures.

Finally, a decision was made on the adoption of the state standard EN 12472 “Accelerated wear and corrosion simulation method for detecting nickel release from coated products”.

It should be noted that the Technical Committee on Standardization "Precious Metals and Precious Stones" was established by the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND) to develop state, primary, international, regional and interstate standards in the field of precious metals and precious stones and to ensure the participation of interested parties.
