The meetings discussed topical issues of international standardization in precious metals, precious stones and jewelry, as well as future areas of cooperation.

Deputy Director of the "Center for Expertise of Consumer Goods" LLC, subordinate to the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Supervision under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Rovshan Amirjanov, participated in the working group meetings of the ISO/TC 174 Technical Committee on various areas held in Berlin, the Federal Republic of Germany.

The meetings discussed the work done within the framework of the activities of the working groups, topical issues of international standardization in the field of precious metals, precious stones and jewelry, draft standards under preparation, as well as existing standards intended for updating.

At the same time, views were exchanged on modern approaches and implementation mechanisms in the field. In addition, discussions were held on the dimensions and functional characteristics of jewelry, the accuracy of measurement information provided to consumers, terminology for precious stones and related products, evaluation criteria, principles of information disclosure, classification, laboratory approaches, and the application of international standards, and issues of cooperation in the field of standardization were considered.
