Business entities and consumers can apply to the Consumer Goods Expertise Center for the assaying and hallmarking of jewelry and other household items made of precious metals and gemstones in accordance with legislative requirements.

The State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan has taken another step in implementing state assay control. Within this framework, laboratory services have been launched for the examination, diagnostics, assaying, and hallmarking of jewelry and other household items made of precious metals and gemstones in compliance with legal requirements.

The services provided by the laboratory serve to protect the rights of importers, manufacturers, and consumers of jewelry and other household goods made of precious metals and gemstones, as well as to safeguard state interests.

Manufacturers, importers, sellers, consumers, and other interested parties can apply to the Consumer Goods Expertise Center, which operates under the Agency, for the assaying and hallmarking of jewelry and other household items made of precious metals and gemstones in accordance with legal requirements.

It should be noted that the Agency continues to carry out consistent work on improving laboratory infrastructure and establishing new laboratories in order to implement state assay control.
